Billie's research is concerned with social media audiences -- their communicative behaviors, perceptions of brands, and community creation/engagement.

 

Specifically, she has focused her recent studies on how social media audiences are reacting to queer celebrities, health media campaigns, and community creation on places like Discord and Twitter.
