These disciplines directly correspond with her research, career, and collective personal aspirations alike; Billie works to contribute towards her passion for confronting the ongoing functions and evolutionary history of the Internet as a social setting -- with particular emphasis placed on how media itself influences these concepts. The knowledge, insight, and experience provided upon her by these disciplines has and continues to lay the groundwork for her research interests and future undertakings in academia.
Besides their academic status, she has also been involved in a number of other University-based areas. She currently serves on the Executive Board of WTBU - the school's media hub and radio station - as its in-studio production director. She is a staff writer for the school's fashion magazine Off The Cuff, as well as its official Mass Communication publication The COMmunicator. During her freshman year, she worked as a political columnist for The Daily Free Press -- the school's student-based news publication.
